Ingredients


  1. Spinach (palak) – 250g 

  2. Paneer – 200g (cubed) 

  3. Tomato – 1 (chopped) 

  4. Ginger – 1-inch piece 

  5. Green chili – 1 

  6. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp 

  7. Garam masala – ½ tsp 

  8. Turmeric – ¼ tsp 

  9. Salt – to taste 

  10. Cream – 1 tbsp (optional) 

  11. Oil or ghee – 1.5 tbsp 

Preparation

  1. Blanch spinach: Boil water, add spinach for 2 minutes, then transfer to ice water. 

 

  1. Blend: Grind blanched spinach with green chili and ginger to a smooth paste. 

 

  1. Sauté: In a pan, heat oil. Add cumin seeds, garam masala. 

 

  1. Cook masala: Add tomatoes, turmeric, and salt. Cook till soft. 

 

  1. Add spinach puree: Mix and cook for 5–7 minutes. Add garam masala. 

 

  1. Add paneer: Gently stir in paneer cubes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes. 

 

  1. Finish: Add cream if using. Mix and serve hot.
