Ingredients
For Kofta Balls:
Grated paneer – 1 cup
Boiled potato – 1 (mashed)
Grated carrot or cabbage – ¼ cup
Cornflour – 2 tbsp
Salt, garam masala – to taste
Oil – for frying
For Gravy:
Tomato – 2 (pureed)
Black pepper & ginger paste – 1 tsp
Cashew paste – 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Cream – 2 tbsp (optional)
Oil or ghee – 2 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Preparation
Make koftas: Mix kofta ingredients, form balls, and deep-fry till golden.
Prepare gravy: Sauté cumin, ginger-chilli paste. Add tomato and cashew paste. Cook until oil separates.
Spice it: Add turmeric, chili, salt, garam masala. Add water and simmer.
Finish: Add cream. Add koftas before serving.
Serve hot with naan or rice.
