Ingredients


For Kofta Balls: 

  1. Grated paneer – 1 cup 

  2. Boiled potato – 1 (mashed) 

  3. Grated carrot or cabbage – ¼ cup 

  4. Cornflour – 2 tbsp 

  5. Salt, garam masala – to taste 

  6. Oil – for frying 


For Gravy: 

  1. Tomato – 2 (pureed) 

  2. Black pepper & ginger paste – 1 tsp 

  3. Cashew paste – 2 tbsp 

  4. Cumin seeds – 1 tsp 

  5. Turmeric powder 

  6. Garam masala – ½ tsp 

  7. Cream – 2 tbsp (optional) 

  8. Oil or ghee – 2 tbsp 

  9. Salt – to taste 

Preparation

  1. Make koftas: Mix kofta ingredients, form balls, and deep-fry till golden. 

 

  1. Prepare gravy: Sauté cumin, ginger-chilli paste. Add tomato and cashew paste. Cook until oil separates. 

 

  1. Spice it: Add turmeric, chili, salt, garam masala. Add water and simmer. 

 

  1. Finish: Add cream. Add koftas before serving. 

 

  1. Serve hot with naan or rice.
