सामग्री

  1. ½ cup rice. 

  2. ½ cup Moong Dal (yellow split lentils) 

  3. 1 tablespoon Ghee (clarified butter) 

  4. 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds. 

  5. ½ teaspoon turmeric powder. 

  6. 1 or 2 pinches of asafoetida (hing) 

  7. ½ teaspoon garam masalapowder. 

  8. 1 bay leaf. 

  9. Mix Vegetable as per your choice. 

तैयारी

  1. Rinse ½ cup rice and ½ cup moong dal. Soak for 15 mins (optional). 

 

  1. Heat ghee/oil in a pressure cooker. Add ½ tsp cumin seeds, a pinch of hing, and 1 chopped onion. 

 

  1. Add 1 chopped tomato and mixed veggies (like carrot, beans, peas, potato). 

 

  1. Add ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp salt, and ½ tsp garam masala (optional). 

 

  1. Add rice and dal. Mix well. 

 

  1. Pour 3 to 3.5 cups water. Pressure cook for 2–3 whistles. 

 

  1. Let pressure release naturally. Mix and mash lightly if needed. 

 

  1. Serve hot with ghee, pickle, or curd.
