Bath
6th point

Bath should be taken before meals.
1. Bathing Steps: Pour cool water on the navel, on the back and opposite the navel. Pour water over the head, letting it run down the spine.
•Additional Practices: Splash water in the eyes and practice nasápána (Vyápaka Shaoca).
2. Cleansing Tools: Use a washcloth or loofah to remove dead skin, focusing on the armpits and groin.
After washing with soap, apply oil and comb those areas.
•Water Temperature: Bathe in lukewarm water if sick, sensitive to cold, or in a cold climate. Sun-warmed water is good, but it should be below body temperature.
3. Best Bathing Times (Sandhyás):
Morning Sandhya: 45 minutes before and after sunrise.
Noon Sandhya: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Evening Sandhya: 45 minutes before and after sunset.
Avoid Midnight Sandhya: 11:15 p.m. to 12:45 a.m.
4. After-Bath Ritual: Face the sun or another light source while still wet. Expose as much of the body as possible to sunlight for ultraviolet rays. Chant the bath mantra three times and perform associated mudras.
Benefits
Taking bath before meals. However missing a meal doesn’t compensate the loss one suffers due to non-bathing. Thus bath is more important than food.
After bathing the posture activates the organ and enables electric wave to permeate the whole biological structure.
